What do you REALLY want to look like?

We work out, eat healthy, and get excited when we buy clothes a size smaller. After a while it becomes a vicious cycle in which we are constantly trying to get in better shape no matter what we look like. Don’t lose sight of the point of all this, ladies. The goal is you want to look sexy and fabulous!

Yes, the woman on the right is a little thick… but would I be going out on a limb if I was saying that she is the sexier one?  The most important thing to looking hot is your style, your attitude, and your confidence. Unless you are severely large, percentage of body fat comes 2nd when it comes to appearance.

Take a chick who is 10 lbs overweight, get her a tan, a well-styled outfit,  good makeup,  and good hair… and I guarantee you she will look 1000% better than the girl who is in shape and looking frumpy. So the moral is — utilize your workout time in the smartest way and eat healthy, but don’t let it take over your life. 5 lbs here and there will not make that much of a difference in the way  you look.

Comments on which woman you think is hotter are much appreciated!

Oh, c’mon! You found the most manish looking buff girl lol. Seriously though I totally agree with not letting workouts take over your life. Its amazing what a difference even a 20 minute workout can make when you’re short on time. I think the idea is to set your goals high but be happy when you reach 70% of your goal.

Oh! I’d like to see a blog entry on “free days”. Letting go of my “free day” changed my lifestyle tremendously! I use to have one free day where i didn’t work out and i’d eat anything i wanted. That was so detrimental to my goal!! Now i don’t deprive myself of anything – as long as its in moderation! I’ve found that i’ve kept my weight constant ever since. But i still find that the free day program is popular with many people.

    • How to Accept Your Imperfections
Some weeks ago in a Dear Mark column, the issues of unwanted weight, arm fat and aesthetic frustration were front and center. While people’s central reasons for going Primal vary, I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t enjoy looking slimmer and fitter. While some of us are unapologetically in it for the vanity spoils (not that […]
    • Are Elite Athletes Inadvertently Training Like Grok?
Modern elite athletes have different goals than our hunter-gatherer ancestors. Their training loads are higher and their physical activity is contrived and somewhat artificial. But for the most part, elite athletes are working with the same metabolic and neuromuscular machinery as Grok. The activities and movement patterns that benefited and shaped the evolu […]
    • Are Video Games Good or Bad for Us?
Non-gamers tend to take a dim view of video games and their fans, assuming they’re all a bunch of sweaty man-children clutching liter bottles of Mountain Dew between Cheeto-dusted fingers and screaming racist obscenities that diffuse, muffled, through thick neckbeard thatches into their headsets at online opponents. And a few weeks ago, even I referenced the […]
    • Dear Mark: Eggs and Colon Cancer; Softened Water and Health
For today’s edition of Dear Mark, we’ve got a two-parter. First up is a question about a sensitive subject: the collective Primal love of all things egg. They form the backbone of millions of breakfasts across the ancestral health community on a daily basis, but David wonders if they might be contributing to colorectal carcinogenesis. […]
